These AMAZING chocolatey crunchy power-balls (gluten-free and plant-based) and not only super simple to make they are a protein and fiber powerhouse of goodness. Great as a pre-/post-workout snack or a no-fuss treat on the go.
In a blender or food processor add:
- 1 cup of dates (if possible, soak for 30mins in warm water for them to soften)
- 1 cup of nuts or seeds
- 1/3 cup of tahini
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1 tbsp of chia seeds
- 1 tbsp of hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla
Mix all together until combined.
Roll into balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking tray.
Leave them to set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Keep these stored in an air-tight container in the fridge.
