The Runner Identity Project is a 12-week coaching experience for runners who feel stuck and want to reconnect with their body, their confidence, and the joy of running.

The Runner Identity Project helps runners rebuild trust in their body so running stops feeling like a fight.

Most runners don’t struggle because they lack discipline, it's because they’ve stopped trusting themselves.

Inside The Runner Identity Project (aka TRIP) we work on the deeper layer of running most training plans ignore - learning to trust your body and your decisions again.

Because when self-trust returns, everything changes.
From how you train to how you show up on race day.

Curious?
Book a TRIP consult and let's talk about what’s currently feeling stuck in your running.

You know how to run. That's not the problem.

But something about running doesn’t feel the same anymore.

Many runners don’t struggle because they lack discipline.
They struggle because they feel stuck.

Stuck between:
• the runner they used to be,
• the runner they want to become, and
• the runner they are right now.

So they start second-guessing their body.

They push when something doesn’t feel right.

Or they slowly lose the joy that brought them to running in the first place.

TRIP helps rebuild the one thing most runners lose: self-trust.

After 12 weeks inside The Runner Identity Project, here’s what running could feel like again:

"I look forward to my runs again – they feel like space, not pressure"

" I trust my body when something feels off instead of pushing through"

"I show up to races calmer and clearer because I know how to listen to myself"

"I no longer compare myself to the runner I used to be"

"I run my own race – and actually enjoy the process again"

This isn’t about becoming a different runner.
It’s about reconnecting with the one you already are.

Where could YOU be in 3 months?

BOOK YOUR TRIP CONSULT
Curious if TRIP could help you move forward again?

You feel unsure about your pace, progress, or ability.

You compare your running more than you celebrate it.

You start training cycles with hope…and finish feeling frustrated.

You second-guess your body and your decisions.

You know you’re capable of more, but something keeps getting in the way.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

It was someone choosing not to.

During the race my client realised something didn’t feel right in their body.

The old version of them would have pushed through just to finish.

But instead they listened.

They stopped.

And for the first time in years, they felt proud of themselves - not because of a medal, but because they trusted their body.

That’s the kind of shift we work on inside TRIP.

One of the most powerful moments I’ve seen in coaching wasn’t someone finishing a race.

But because you trust yourself.

BOOK A TRIP CONSULT

Inside TRIP you rebuild the relationship with running.

You stop second-guessing your body.

You stop comparing yourself to the runner you used to be.

And you start showing up with confidence and clarity again.

Not because you're pushing harder.

  • have been running for a while but feel stuck or inconsistent
  • are returning to running after a break, injury, or life shift
  •  know they’re capable of more but can’t seem to access it
  • want to stop second-guessing their body and decisions
  • love running but feel disconnected from it lately
  • are ready to rebuild trust in themselves as a runner opinions

Is The Runner Identity Project right for you?

You don’t need to be chasing a specific race goal.
TRIP is about rebuilding the relationship with running, not just improving performance.
TRIP tends to resonate most with runners who:

HEAR FROM TRIP CLIENTS

Started with a goal to get consistent with running and achieve 5k...that was a stepping stone to becoming a half-marathoner

“I am now proud to call myself a long-distance runner, and someone who absolutely looks forward to my runs! I couldn’t even imagine that I would be where I am now in such a short time, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t be here without the support of coach G.”

Karen

Dreamed of running a marathon...became a marathoner

"I felt running a full marathon was beyond my reach. Coach G turned my self-doubts upside down and helped me realize that running a marathon was well within my reach.”

amy

Goal was to move her body consistently - running was the vehicle for physical & mental health...became a 5K runner

“Gillian has helped me move through fears, feel like a badass runner and gotten me farther with my physical training that I ever would have on my own.”

tara

Goal was to become consistent with running and build up to a half-marathon...became a 3x half-marathoner

“I wanted to run a half-marathon, but I wasn't sure if it was even possible for me. Turns out I absolutely could do it! Throughout the process of working with Coach G, I've realised I'm not scared of doing challenging things anymore.”

I created The Runner Identity Project because I know what it feels like to be stuck in your running.

For years I chased progress the way most runners are taught to: follow the plan, push harder, and prove yourself at the finish line with a PB.

But something never quite clicked.

Because the real problem wasn’t kilometres or training plans.

It was self-trust.

I see it in runners all the time - especially women who are disciplined, capable, and committed…yet still second-guess themselves when it matters.

They push when their body says stop.
They compare themselves to their past pace.
They finish races feeling frustrated instead of proud.

That’s the gap TRIP was created to fill.

A space where runners rebuild trust in their body, their decisions, and the runner they already are.

Because running becomes powerful again when you stop fighting yourself.

Hey, I'm Gillian 👋

Curious if TRIP is right for you?
Inside TRIP you’ll receive:

1. Private coaching support
Regular coaching calls where we unpack the patterns that keep you stuck and build a new relationship with running based on trust rather than pressure.

2. Self-trust coaching between sessions
You’ll have ongoing support to talk through training decisions, race doubts, and those moments where runners usually start second-guessing themselves.

3. A flexible training structure
A running plan designed around your life, your energy, and your goals — so running fits into your world rather than taking it over.

4. Self-trust integration tools
Reflection prompts and mindset practices that help you recognise self-sabotage patterns and replace them with confident decision-making.

5. Support for the whole running experience
We also cover recovery, fueling, and the rhythms of training so your body feels supported, not pushed.

Because when runners trust themselves again, everything changes — from how they train to how they show up on race day.

Introducing The Runner Identity Project

TRIP is a 12-week coaching experience designed to help runners rebuild self-trust and reconnect with the joy of running.

  • You train with more trust and less pressure.
  • You stop second-guessing your body and start listening to it.
  •  You celebrate your progress instead of constantly comparing yourself to others.
  • You show up to runs - and races - calmer and clearer.
  • You understand the difference between discomfort and a signal from your body.
  • Running feels like something you get to do again, not something you have to prove.

After TRIP, running feels different.

Because when self-trust returns, running stops feeling like a fight.

Still wondering if TRIP is the right step for you?

Not at all.

Some runners join TRIP while preparing for a race, but many simply want to feel more consistent, confident, and connected to their running again.

The Runner Identity Project focuses on how you experience running, not just what you're training for. Whether you're chasing a goal or simply rebuilding your relationship with running, TRIP meets you where you are.

Absolutely.

TRIP is especially powerful for runners who have ever thought, “I’m too slow to be a real runner.”

This work isn’t about speed. It’s about self-trust.

Inside TRIP you’ll learn how to run your way — with confidence, clarity, and pride in the runner you already are.

Yes.

Each week you’ll receive a customised running plan in TrainingPeaks, adjusted based on:

• how your body is feeling
• how your previous runs went
• what your work and life schedule looks like that week

The goal isn’t just following a plan — it’s learning how to listen to your body and train with trust instead of pressure.

You’ll have ongoing support through Voxer (a voice messaging app).

This means you can reach out when things come up — whether that’s:

• a mindset wobble before a run
• questions about fueling or recovery
• uncertainty about a training decision
• celebrating a breakthrough moment

Coaching doesn’t just happen on calls — it happens in the real moments where self-trust is built.

That depends on where you are right now.

Some runners spend around 3–5 hours per week on running, including their runs and reflection.

But TRIP is designed to fit into your life, not overwhelm it.

We focus on sustainable running habits and learning how to work with your current capacity — not forcing more than your life can hold.

Not really.

Most running programs focus mainly on training plans and performance metrics.

TRIP goes deeper.

Alongside your training plan, we work on:

• your relationship with running
• the beliefs you hold about yourself as a runner
• the patterns that lead to self-sabotage or second-guessing

The goal isn’t just better runs — it’s becoming a runner who trusts themselves under pressure.

That’s completely normal.

Life happens — and TRIP is designed to support real life, not perfection.

Instead of guilt or frustration, we use those moments as opportunities to understand what’s actually going on and adjust your training in a way that supports you.

Often, this is where some of the most important mindset shifts happen.

The first step is a short TRIP consult.

This gives us a chance to talk about:

• what’s currently happening in your running
• where you’re feeling stuck
• whether TRIP is the right next step for you

If it feels like a good fit, I’ll walk you through the best option for getting started.
