Having good daily habits really helps set my day up for success. I do lots of things daily, but I wanted to share with you my top 10 habits. Here they are:
I don’t know about you, but for me autumn/fall equals soup. So recently I’ve been on a soupfest making so many that my freezer is now jam-packed full.
This yellow split pea soup requires only 4 ingredients – sweet potatoes, carrots, yellow split peas, water, and if you want you can add in salt and pepper.
When you can’t be bothered running and you’d rather stay in and watch Netflix, or meet your friends for a drink, perhaps have a bath with a glass of wine, or an extra hour in bed; we’ve all been there. Four years ago, I was pretty unhealthy. I didn’t eat well and rarely exercised. This was a bad combination, but as I look back now, I realise that, not only was I inactive and didn’t eat well, I was also poorly educated on food. One of the biggest problems was that I thought I was eating healthily.
I’ve got serious runner’s envy.
I realised I was a ‘proper’ runner about a year ago. It wasn’t because I was training for a marathon, nor that I had done a 5km, 10km or a half-marathon race in my first 8 months of running. And it wasn’t after having spent hundreds of $$$ on the gear. It was feeling envious watching runners. Even on a weekend morning, after doing 20km+ runs by myself – feeling emotionally and physically drained, and completely done for the day – I would still catch sight of a runner outside, from my cocoon on the sofa, and be envious. I wanted to lace up and get out there.
