MY CURRENT FAVOURITE PODCASTS

Since March, I feel like I have watched all of YouTube and Amazon Prime! What about you? Side note, do you know I now have a YouTube channel? I’d love it if you could head over and subscribe to my channel. Anyways, I’m always looking for new ways to entertain myself while staying safe indoors…that’s where podcasts have come in handy for me (and colouring, the 2 just go hand in hand). I only got into listening to podcasts a couple of years ago. I was struggling with my runs post Seawheeze 2018, and a good friend told me to try listening to a podcast, as that’ll help take my mind off the struggle train I was on. And O-M-G, she was blooming right!

I now listen to podcasts while I run, walking back and forth on my balcony, doing the laundry, relaxing on my bed on a Sunday afternoon, or chilling on an evening while colouring in.

I dip in and out of a lot of podcasts, it really depends on the mood I am in, but the 5 below are my current favourites. The presenters are motivational, inspirational and I get so much out of each episode.

Happy Place by Fearne Cotton. Fearne is a beautiful interviewer and I absolutely love the guests she has on her podcast. The podcast’s main focus is around happiness but specifically mental health. She has had so many fantastic guests ranging from Alicia Keys, Elizabeth Gilbert, Gabby Bernstein, Ricky Gervais and Joe Wicks. One of my all time favourite interviews was from 2019, Chessie King spoke about body confidence and the challenges and pressures social media brings to looking perfect.

The Joyous Health Podcast by Joyous Health.  Joy and Walker are an absolute delight to listen to; they are hilarious, down to earth, and passionate about health and wellness. They offer great insight and inspiration on health, well-being, family life and running your own business.

The Rachel Hollis Podcast.  If you don’t know of Rachel Hollis, then you need to get to know Rachel immediately! Her books ‘Girl, Wash Your Face’ and ‘Girl, Stop Apologizing’ are now like my bibles! I’ve read both a couple of times and every time I take something new from them. She is a firecracker of motivation and inspiration – I blooming love her podcasts, she keeps it real.

Straight Up by Trent Shelton.  Gosh, Trent absolutely smashes it and keeps it real! He brings his no nonsense advice, inspiring me every single time I listen to him to be true to myself and bring my best self! ‘You are the perfect you’ says Trent, and I 100% agree with him!

A Runner’s Life by Marcus Brown.  I personally love hearing how other people got into running, their struggles and challenges, and being brought along with their successes. This podcast always leaves me inspired and wanting to go for a run – so actually, thinking about it as I type, it would definitely be the best podcast to listen to whilst out for a run!

So there you have it, my current favourite podcasts: I’d love to know what podcasts you enjoy (please let me know below)!
